Liverpool FC is nothing without our supporters and that's why we're always looking to find new ways to reach out to fans from all over the world.
If you're reading this page, you must already be one of over 3 millions fans who visit the official club website every month but there are still hundreds of thousands of fans who like to follow the team via other means. That's why LFC has branched out into Social Media so we can keep supporters informed of everything that's happening at Anfield, Melwood and the Academy and also provide you with another way to interact with the club.
What is Facebook?
Facebook is a free global social networking website that allows millions of people to keep in contact with friends, groups and, in our case, Liverpool Football Club.
LFC on Facebook
The Official Liverpool Football Club Facebook Page was set up in March 2009. Within four months, 300,000 supporters had become 'Fans' of the page while we surpassed the one million mark in October 2009 - at the time making Liverpool FC far and away the world's most popular football club of Facebook. The LFC Facebook Page allows the club to provide 'Fans' with exclusive videos, great pics, top prizes or just the inside track on what’s happening. However, this isn’t only about us talking to you – we want you to talk to us. So get involved on the Wall – share your photos, post your thoughts and get to know fellow fans just like you from all over the world.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
LFC values the opportunity to connect with thousands of supporters via the LFC Facebook pages and while the vast majority of user contributions are positive, as with any site that features user generated content, there is a minority of people who will occasionally try to spoil things for the majority. Users of the LFC Facebook pages are bound by Facebook's terms and conditions. These prohibit users from submitting abusive, obscene, defamatory or hararassing content. Any breach of these within the LFC Facebook pages should be reported to Facebook's team of moderators, either by clicking on the 'report' buttons or by sending an email to abuse@facebook.com. You can help by notifying Facebook of any nudity, pornography, harassment or unwelcome contact by clicking on the "Report" link located on pages throughout the site.
What is Twitter?
Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read messages known as tweets of up to 140 characters displayed on the author's profile page and delivered to the author's subscribers who are known as Followers.
