Liverpool resume action after the international break with a trip to Birmingham City.
Last season, the two teams played out a 1-1 draw at St Andrews. Steven Gerrard gave the Reds the lead with a superb finish but Liam Ridgewell equalised nine minutes later. Fernando Torres was also controversially substituted.
Alex McLeish's side have gone 16 games unbeaten in the Barclays Premier League at St Andrews - currently the longest unbeaten home run in the top-flight.
In that sequence they have drawn with Manchester City, Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Everton, Arsenal and Liverpool.
The Blues could give a debut to Alexander Hleb who has joined on loan from Barcelona while Czech defender Martin Jiranek could also feature.
You have to go back to 2004 for a last Liverpool win at St Andrews in the top-flight. It was Gerard Houllier's final season in charge at Anfield and a Steven Gerrard inspired Reds won 3-0. The skipper was on the mark along with Michael Owen and Emile Heskey.
However, during Rafa Benitez's reign the only victories at St Andrews were in cup competitions. A magnificent 7-0 FA Cup quarter-final triumph in 2006 was followed eight minutes later by a 1-0 League Cup win thanks to Daniel Agger.
Liverpool are currently one point better off this season compared with last term but Birmingham are unbeaten in their last eight league meetings against the Reds.
