MOWBRAY: REDS ARE AMONG WORLD'S BEST
Jimmy Rice 14 May 2009
Tony Mowbray has warned his West Brom side they will be facing one of the best footballing teams in the world on Sunday.
The Baggies gave themselves a slim chance of survival with a thrilling 3-1 victory over Wigan last weekend.

Mowbray would love another end-to-end affair when Liverpool come to town, but fears Gerrard and co might hinder their attacking ambitions.

"We understand Liverpool are one of the best teams in the world with some of the best players," said the former defender.

"We've got a huge challenge ahead of us on Sunday, but I was talking to the coaching staff and said, 'What was Chelsea's approach in Barcelona?'

"Sometimes the quality of the opposition doesn't allow you to play in a certain way. Liverpool, with their world-class players, will have enough of the ball to push us back and make us defend.

"It won't be our plan to go out and defend with lots and lots of numbers - but I suggest their quality might push us back. It will be a different game to the Wigan one."
