John Aldridge believes Liverpool have the most favourable run-in out of the teams vying for a top four finish in the Barclays Premier League.
Following the weekend's results, just one point separates Tottenham Hotspur in fourth from seventh placed Aston Villa, with Manchester City and the Reds in between.
However, Aldo remains confident Rafael Benitez's side will secure a Champions League berth - particularly with key players such as Fernando Torres and Yossi Benayoun returning from injury.
"The run-in favours Liverpool, especially if Torres can regain his fitness and match sharpness soon," he told Liverpoolfc.tv. "We've got the edge, but we need to take it with both hands.
"City don't travel well and they've got to go to Sunderland, Fulham, who are hard to beat at home, and Burnley, whose home form is very good.
"Meanwhile, Tottenham have got Everton and Man City, which are two very hard games.
"Our home games, with the exception of Chelsea, are all very winnable."
Liverpool have lost just one of their last nine league fixtures, keeping seven clean sheets in the process.
"We had a bad start to the season, losing against Tottenham and Aston Villa in particular, and we didn't really build much momentum afterwards," added Aldridge.
"We stuttered and lost confidence, but now we've stopped conceding goals and getting beat. That's very important. We may not be seeing great performances, but we're grinding results out.
"Injuries to key players haven't helped - that has been the main factor. We've got to get the bit between our teeth now and once Torres is up and running, confidence will breed off him."
