Fabio Aurelio will throw his support behind England at this summer's World Cup - but only if Brazil fail to make a big impact.
The full-back - who will leave Liverpool when his contract expires next week -rates his country's chances as high as anyone's but admits to having a soft spot for Fabio Capello's men having spent the last four years on Merseyside.
"I see three or four teams that have a good chance of winning it," he told Liverpoolfc.tv. "Brazil always start as favourites but England have a good squad too. Spain will do really well and you cannot forget Italy who hold the title.
"I will, of course, support my country but it won't be easy.
"I also like supporting England because I have lived here for a number of years and have teammates who will be in the squad. I hope they do really well."
