Lucas Leiva has tipped Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres to take the World Cup by storm - but remains confident Brazil will be crowned the eventual champions.
The No.21 feels the duo could play a decisive role in deciding who reigns supreme in South Africa but reckons Brazil can land a sixth title if they safely navigate one of the competition's toughest groups.
"I think the Liverpool players who could play a starring role at the World Cup are the obvious ones," he told Liverpoolfc.tv.
"Stevie and Fernando both play for sides with a big chance of winning the cup. When you think about the best teams like England and Spain, they are the type of big players they have. I think they can both have a really good World Cup, but I would still go for Brazil as the winners - no doubt about that."
Brazil topped the South American qualifying group and Lucas is confident they have enough talent at their disposal to win the first World Cup held on African soil.
"Brazil are always one of the favourites to win the World Cup," he said. "We have a really good squad with some great players. We have had some problems with injuries but hopefully everyone will be fit.
"We have a tough group in Portugal, Ivory Coast and North Korea. They will be difficult opposition but there are no easy games when you get to a World Cup anyway. If we get through the group our confidence will grow as it is one of the most difficult ones.
"The boys will have to play at 110 per cent every game to try to win because there are only seven games and if you can win all of them then you have done it."
