Fifty-five Borussia Moenchengladbach fans will be at Anfield this evening to watch Liverpool take on Newcastle as part of their annual pilgrimage to Merseyside to celebrate the friendship that exists between the two sets of supporters.
It is a bond that is absolutely unique in the world football and, although other clubs throughout the world also have friendships with each other - most notably Celtic with St Pauli from Germany - no other two teams have a friendship as strong or as long lasting.
Indeed, it is almost 40 years since Liverpool played Borussia Moenchengladbach in the 1972-73 UEFA Cup final when the first friendships were formed.
Following this evening's game with Newcastle the fourth consecutive LFC/BMG fan party will be held in Liverpool City Centre.
Any LFC supporters who wish to celebrate this amazing friendship and attend the fan party should contact party organiser Graham Agg on 07985648229 for further information.
