Christian Poulsen hopes Kenny Dalglish's pass and move mantra will soon see Liverpool scaling the heights of the Barclays Premier League.
The Reds grabbed their first victory under caretaker boss Dalglish on Saturday thanks to a sweet volley from Raul Meireles and a Fernando Torres brace.
The Spaniard's second goal was the culmination of a 31-pass move from Liverpool.
And Poulsen, who started for the second time in four games under Dalglish, said: "Kenny hasn't been here long, and he needs to get to know the players and he will slowly adapt his type of football to the team.
"Watching the manager as a player was a little bit before my time, but you can feel the difference it has made. At Wolves, it was unbelievable how the away fans support the manager.
"A little difference is that we're playing more through the middle and it worked pretty good at Wolves. Kenny is a manager who wants to play with the ball, we keep the ball on the floor.
"It's a long time since we got points away. It was an important game if you look at the table, and I hope it will be a good start for the team."
Next up for Liverpool are home games against Fulham - when they welcome Steven Gerrard back from suspension - and Stoke City before a trip to Stamford Bridge.
"It's our first victory away in a long time and I hope it will be a start to playing better away from home," added Poulsen.
"Now the next two games are at home and we need the points at the moment.
"We have our captain back in the next game and I hope we can get three points against Fulham next week."

Poulsen has had a difficult start to his Anfield career since joining from Juventus in August but he is determined to win over the fans.
He said: "I know the fans sometimes shout at me, but I did really good in the first half, and I had two or three misplaced passes in the beginning of the second half.
"Of course, I want to improve my game and I hope I can do that here at Liverpool.
"It's a fight to get into the team, and with some good performances on the training ground hopefully I can have a new start here at Liverpool. The season hasn't been too good for the club or for me. I hope we can now start getting more wins. We need to.
"It's been a difficult year for Liverpool and hopefully we can turn it around in the rest of the season. It's not just me, it's everyone around the club. We need to work hard and turn it around, and hopefully the start can be this win."
