Liverpool need just four goals to record 500 in top-flight football under the management of Kenny Dalglish.

The visit of Stoke City will also be Dalglish's 50^th game in charge of the Reds since he returned a year ago. He has won 26, drawn 12 and lost 11.

The last meeting between the clubs saw Liverpool win 2-1 at Stoke in this season's League Cup. Luis Suarez scored twice for the Reds (the first time he had achieved the feat) after Kenwyne Jones had given the home side a half-time lead.
