Lazio look likely to land Liverpool lad

Serie A side Lazio are being tipped as the most likely destination for young Liverpool midfielder Damien Plessis.

It was reported last week that the Frenchman had been approached by an unnamed interested Italian party and with the Anfield coaching staff happy for the move to go ahead it appears the 21-year-old could leave in the next few days.

Speaking to the Liverpool official website, Benitez stated: "Plessis is a young player who isn't playing games. We were considering a loan but we're talking to the player and his agent.

"We had an Italian team asking about him and we'll see if we can find a solution that is best for him and for us."
