Liverpool run rule over new Suarez
Liverpool are showing interest in FC Groningen striker David Texeira reports the Daily Mail.
The 20-year-old Uruguayan has been in scintillating form in the Dutch Eredivisie, netting seven goals in 12 league games.
Reds boss Kenny Dalglish has been alerted to Texeira's potential, and is believed to be considering an attempt to bring him to Anfield this month.
Liverpool legend Bruce Grobbelaar revealed last week that his former club were on the verge of signing a new striker - a South American who is playing in Holland - and Texeira fits the bill.
Interestingly, Texeira has taken a similar career path to compatriot and Liverpool favourite Luis Suarez, starting from their place of birth, in Salto, Uruguay.
Texeira joined Groningen last August, ironically Suarez's first European club, and if rumours are to be believed, the talented striker could be about to follow in his footsteps again by completing a move to Anfield.
