Meireles makes Reds move
Liverpool have completed the signing of Portugal international Raul Meireles from Porto.
Meireles
has signed a four-year deal at Anfield after Liverpool
agreed a fee of €14million (£11.5million) for the midfielder.
The 27-year-old will help fill the void left by Javier Mascherano's
impending departure to Barcelona.
Meireles insists Roy Hodgson
played a key role in his decision to make the move to Liverpool.
"Roy Hodgson was key to me coming here because he worked so hard to sign me," Meireles was quoted as saying in the Daily Express.
"I hope one day the Liverpool fans will remember me for being successful."
Meireles has won four titles with Porto and been capped 38 times by Portugal, playing in all four of his country's games at this summer's World Cup.
