Stuart Webber joined the Academy in the summer of 2009 as senior national scout before being promoted to Director of Recruitment in 2011.

He arrived in Kirkby following a five-year spell at Wrexham where he rose from the role of part-time coach of the U12s through to head of youth.

During his time at the Racecourse Ground he worked under current Academy manager Steve Cooper and was reunited with the Welshman when he opted to take up Frank McParland's offer of a position with the Reds.
