Goalkeeper Christopher Oldfield was promoted to Melwood in the summer of 2009 after rising through the Academy ranks.

The Scouser spent the previous season as U18s No.1, impressing enough to earn a place in the reserves squad for a close-season tour of Holland.

The talented shot-stopper has attracted interest from several other clubs but is happy to continue his football education under reserve team manager John McMahon.
