Andy Scoulding joined Roy Hodgson in swapping Fulham for Liverpool in the summer of 2010 after being installed as the club's head of technical analysis at Melwood.
The Kent-born analyst completed a Sports Science degree at Swansea University before taking up a position with ProZone, who dispatched him to Abu Dhabi to work as a consultant for Al Wahda FC.
Andy returned to England to join Fulham in a consultancy position in 2005, before being taken on by the Cottagers directly a year later.
He believes the technology played a big part in helping the London club retain its Premiership status in 2007-08 as well as enjoy a fine 2009-10 season, in which they defied the odds to reach the Europa League final.
Despite Hodgson's departure from Anfield early in 2011, Andy continues to carry out his work at Melwood.
His responsibilities include helping prepare the team for matches by creating visual scout reports on the opposition, as well as analysing the Reds' own performances in detail.
He says: "There isn't a typical day for me, we work on a cycle of pre and post-match.
"Pre-match, we will edit a minimum of three games on the opposition, looking at tactical aspects of their game for both attacking and defending situations.
"This information is delivered back to the players in our team meetings. The videos and statistics all combine to give a visual representation of the scouting reports."
