Rob arrived at Melwood in September 2005 after building a reputation as one of the leading physiotherapists in the game.
He had previously enjoyed a five-year spell with the Football Association before the opportunity to manage the physio team at one of the biggest clubs in the world left him in no doubt as to where his future would lie.
Since then he has travelled the world as Liverpool's senior physiotherapist while helping to oversee treatment, prevention and rehabilitation of first-team players on a day-to-day basis at Melwood.
"We have a fantastic team on the field here but also a fantastic team off the field," he says. "We're a very hands-on treatment department and we spend a lot of time working with the players on a daily basis.
"Every day is planned very carefully. We do a lot of preventative work with the players to try and avoid injuries, we play a role in the rehab of the injured players and of course there's regular meetings with the manager and medical staff.
"After training we'll carry out assessments or react accordingly to any incidents which have taken place during the session."
Rob has a degree in physiotherapy, an Msc in sports rehabilitation and is currently in the process of registering for his next qualification as he bids to ensure both he and his team keep up-to-date with the latest advances in medicine.
