Winger Adam Hammill is a product of the Academy who has spent the past few seasons cutting his teeth in Scotland and the Football League.
The Scouser was part of the 2006 FA Youth Cup winning side, scoring a sensational goal from the half-way line in the early rounds.
It came as no surprise when he was promoted to Melwood in February 2006 - nor when England U19s came calling.
Hammill spent the second half of 2006-07 at Dunfermline in the SPL. He became a firm fans' favourite at East End Park, scoring one goal in 18 appearances and playing in the Scottish Cup final against Celtic.
The left-sider then joined Southampton on a season-long loan, making 25 league appearances during 2007-08.
A brief spell back at Melwood saw Hammill net an unbelievable solo strike in a reserve clash with Southport before heading to Blackpool for half a season in July 2008.
The second half of 2008-09 was spent at Championship side Barnsley.
The playmaker is contracted at Anfield until 2011.
